We have three more concerts at Steinway Hall, and that's it FOREVER as Fields has closed the store without notice, but has kindly agreed to let us finish the first half of our 08 09 season...basically the Jaz, Feb and Mar concerts. If you have any suggestions for venues with an exquisite Steinway, kindly be in touch.

Fields Pianos IS CLOSED, but STEINWAY Hall is open! The store will NOT BE OPEN, and I will post flyers on their front door., however we are concertising 2 flights down., and it is actually quite a hip venue, very Cabaret.

We are devastated to lose our West Side Venue, but our other Concerts in South Pasadena are very much happening.

PASSACAGLIA "Nine for SF"
A mere nine measures is the content of the composition written for the Suezenne Fordham Chamber Jazz LA group. The basic melodic and harmonic structure is written, and the group extends and improvises extensively, creating variation after variation. It sometime rivals extended compositions in the Classical world, in intensity and inovation, truly an improvisors dream.

MXM uses the Equal Interval system of composition as created by Lyle "Spud" Murphy, and taught by MXM at Pasadena City College.

"In The Arms Of Abraham" a Spiritual
A very soulful and melodic Spiritual in the most traditional sense, with traditional chamnes of harmony, but yet showing the melodic genius that flows from Bradford's pen.
"A Little Pain"
Written during an intense period of soul searching by Bradford, this is a standby for The Bobby Bradford Mo'Tet, and me performance would be complete of Bradford's without this tune. Once again presented to SFCJLA with just twelve measures written, it is a field day for us, recreating all the pain of existance for you to hear and identify with. Intimate,Soulful, Pain ridden with the b5s and we have a ball delving into the psyche of composer Bradford.

The remainder of the program will be devoted to Monk, Evans, Mingus and Asian Improvisations on Tibetan Instruments.

SUEZENNE FORDHAM CHAMBER JAZZ LA "NEW ORBITS" Premiere concert huge success!!!

On October 5th, 08 Sunday evening at the Chamber Concert Hall of the South Pasadena Main Library, the Suezrenne Fordham Chamber Concert LA Perfprming Ensemble played their first concert of the 08 09 season to a capacity crowd and enthusiatic audience.

There were full houses for both shows, and the group felt very rewarded for their musical efforts.

"The new series, "New Orbits", is an explorationn of the formalism of Classical Chamber Music, and the improvisational Freeform of Avant Garde Jazz, fusing Fourth Stream Avant garde, and Classical forms into a new Music, enhanced with Tibetan Percussion. Truly the intensity of the Concert Experience with Jazz Passion," Suezenne Fordham, founder, pianist and composer-arranger, performer enthused.

The South Pasadena venue is a very historic venue, very hip, and comfortable...At intermission the audience was invited to get to know the Tibetan instruments hands on. The 08 09 season has a series of fourteen concerts spread evenly between the South Pasaden Venue and Steinway Hall at Field's Pianos in West LA.
